A southern sunrise just sticks with you all day. I was lucky enough to see a gorgeous sunrise this morning, peaking through sporadic storm clouds and reflecting off the still waterways. The brightest colors of pink were ricocheting off dark clouds in all directions. In the interest of safety (since I was driving :), I took one photo to remember this scene and it most definitely does not do it justice.
It's been way too long since I've gotten out of the house early enough to enjoy a sunrise. There's something hopeful and calming about getting to see the first rays of light play over the darkness here and there, creating their own uniquely beautiful maze before illuminating us completely. It reminds me why I like to take time to enjoy the dawn before jumping into my crazy day.
