Food in California in general is much different than what we find on the East Coast. Produce can be grown anywhere. Need a lime for that margarita or avocado for breakfast? It’s probably in your yard. We used to have a big lemon tree in our yard, and I’ll never forget making fresh lemonade (without a juicer or strainer) - the most delicious, hand-cramping, seed-spitting lemonade I’ve ever tasted. Mexican food (my favorite food group) is so fresh and simple, and you can find it on every corner, no matter what city you’re in. And then there’s the meat….
Produce! And definitely strawberries...
